ANOTHER BOOK FOR AILUROPHILES

Waiting for Gertrude
by Bill Richardson

The souls of the famous and infamous who are buried in Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris -- Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Maria Callas, Balzac, Proust, Edith Piaf, Sarah Bernhardt, et al. -- live on in the bodies of the feral cats who inhabit the cemetery. While Alice B. Toklas waits for Gertrude Stein to be re-born as a kitten, a neutered Oscar Wilde sends love letters to tomcat Jim Morrison, and La Fontaine gives guided tours of the cemetery in verse.

A must-read for those who love cats & literature.
